traxxas slash with mamba max pro 9000kv testing on 3s lipo!!

I wanted to see how fast the 9000kv will go on 3s lipo. I'm somwhat impressed with it but also a little disappointed as well because I aspected to be faster than that, but it still ran ridiculous!!! My guess is doing at least 70mph on 3s lipo. Yes I I know that I'm not suppose to use 3s lipo on the 9000kv but it didn't do any harm to it but I would not recommend using it on daily bases though. more to vids to come.

What gearing were you running? Is this a 2WD or 4WD? Did you take any temperature readings on the motor?

When I run a 3S on my Stampede (stock VXL motor and ESC), I see the Motor (with fan) hit 160 after about 10 min of hard driving. The ESC is about 140 at that point. I was told I could go with a 4pole motor or 550 (no specific model recommendation was givin) to solve the temp problem.

@DentonRCdriver This is the 2wd slash and the gearing was 90 spur, 22 pinion, which I over geared it, lol. and no I didn't check the temperature readings because it was cold that day.

Have you had any trouble breaking parts in the drive line? I was going to put the Mamba Monster Motor/ESC in mine but even at 4cell lipo the system breaks stuff.That thing flies! about how fast do you think it was going? Its hard to judge from these videos. @RCandBIKES MMP does but thats the esc. Throwing a3S batt into a 9000kv motor is risky. 9000*11.1 is a theoretical 99900rpm. 100000 RPM!!!!!!!!!!!
