I recorded a spacey cover version of this song years ago. I gave Bill Taylor (who wrote the lyrics) and Dan O'Bannon (who played "Pinback") a copy. Someday I'll pull it from my old analog master tapes and restore it digitally and post it.

I love this. Apart from the humour gained from the juxtaposition between sci-fi and a gentle parody of contemporary country music, it's a damn good song in its own right.

Awesome song and movie, when I was out in Benson it was to see Kartchner Caverns State Park. If you love caves and are in the area check it out...hell...even if you don't love caves check it out anyhow....you just might might get the deep desire to see more of what caves are all about. ;)
