OMG! Thanx for the parts! I got my acoustic gitaur today, and I needed help. O.K! Don't you need a pick for an acoustic guitar? THEY DIDN'T GIVE ME A PICK!

Yes. It was what I learned on. Well for all I know it had fret markers, I just never felt them.

jesus christ, it's just to help you visualize which fret is which. Ever tried playing a guitar without fret markers?

Ok, here's a question that that I've yet to get an answer to:
Why are the fret "dots" at the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 12th frets?
Is there some cosmic formula that makes these frets more important than the others? If it's a scale, it's not one that I'm familiar with yet. It took me a second to realize it, but the pattern is symmetrical, with the pivot at the 6th fret. (Tritone?)
