Former Governor George Pataki has experience dealing with disasters. He was New York State Governor when the 9/11 attacks took place. After the red sludge flooded the villages of Kolontár and Devecser, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán asked Pataki to coordinate the efforts in the US to raise both funds, and awareness, for the victims of the flooding. These are excerpts from a press conference he gave in New York where he spoke about the tragedy, and of his confidence that Americans will help those affected.
