  • This was by the same guy who did FFXIII, Masashi Hamauzu.

  • @dissident93 Ahh, I know. I am a HUGE Hamauzu fanboy.

  • @EvilxobX64 Hmm. I couldn't get into his work. He's not bad or anything, but I feel as though he couldn't live up to Uematsu or Mitsuda. I like Mt. Gagzet and Blinded by Light, though.

  • @dissident93 His style is a lot different but personally I think it really suits the atmosphere in FFXIII. Personally, I consider Hamauzu on par with Uematsu, but that may be simply because I'm a sucker for his haunting and melodic style. Listening to his music from FFXIII out of the context of the game really lets you pay attention to how good of an arranger he is (he arranged the piano rendition of Mitsuda's solo album Sailing to the World)

I hold him in very high esteem.

  • @EvilxobX64 Well, I've never played XIII, so I can't comment on that.

But if you want to know what he did here, he did Naval Fortress, Trap, Approach to Shrine, and Impatient (Part 2).
