A short clip of a very hardworking assembly line factory worker in Jiangsu Province, China. He is part of the production process for the manufacturing of small engines used in home appliances such as fans, pumps and air conditioning units.

  • I admire how hard these people work, but people are not machines and working at this pace makes consistent quality impossible. Then again, we know from experience that quality is not what it is about so many times in China. Just that they got one done and made it cheap is the whole point. This is why I seek out American made products. I can't afford cheap anymore.

Watch the partially assembled unit sitting on the conveyor belt at 0:40. Notice the wire bundle hanging off the side and dangling. Notice also that it's swaying from the movement of the conveyor belt. If the video was sped up, it would be evident from the speed of sway of the wire bundle. Fact is, this video is in real time, not sped up.

  • Speed does not equal quality.

  • my respect go to these people...

  • This is to make you feel sorry for them, the video has been sped up so it makes them look like they are working faster! No one's fingers could move so quick, but its most noticible when the guy uses the hammer

I'd pay an extra $25 if it was made out of good materials. You can't not buy china and india crap anymore, and it falls apart in months.

  • If you're over there again...any chance of going to Changzhou?

  • @whatthehell440 With more American jobs comes a stronger middle class and better wages, which makes buying a shirt that costs more but is made here affordable.

  • lol..... and they work 8 hours for themselfs and 2 for the country.... 10 hours like this is $@€$£@$€£€

  • At their standard of living it is very normal thing, yet in the US people wrork at 9 Dollar an hour and living in Poverty, living on credit cards..Without China products I wounder what we gona do....Are we willing to pay $10 USD for a T-Shirt just because the employee that works on it is a union with 45 Dollar an hour sallary..
