OMG this piece is so beautiful! I'm in 8th grade and I'm gonna play this in a few months! I love how many places us cellos get to sing out! CELLO POWER!

Perhaps more at the start, adding 'disappointment' into the mix. Reminds me of Tch's #6. That's deep inner pain and suffering if I've ever heard it....

@YTM021807 i agree. i definitely hear longing (not uncommon when i listen to rachmoninoff.). i would omit overwhelming though. it seems to be a longing that is almost welcomed.

@xoL0VExo Thank you! The new symphony Hall called "Sala Sinfonica Pablo Casals" is now in full use since 2009 .... and I am still waiting for the repetition of this concert! I will let you know if that musical opportunity happens!
