Deepsky galaxies, starclusters, bright +dark nebula like Horsehead taken in sub-zero temps in January with my 70mm backyard telescope and 42mm e-finder from the London suburbs with sensitive SX CCD cameras in exposures of 20s-600s. Despite light pollution and near full moon on first night - no dark or flat calibration frames used!

  • Really nice setup mate! Very inspiring. I really enjoyed the last 2 shots of the Orion Nebula. It was simply amazing to watch going from 20 seconds (which I thoght looked nice) then fading into the 60 second exposure, it was so cool to watch all these extra stars just pop into view, and the detail of the dust and gases just come right into iew. I'd LOVE to see more Video's that do just what you did on the Orion bit here great job. Cheers, IC.

  • @IcechickenSr Thanks for that;-) I've done the Orion Neb sequence [doubling exposures from 1s -270s] as a still pic montage and will try my new colour cam on a similar sequence when Orion returns at a social hour - for maybe a YT vid !
