I dont think humans can think like computers, It would be too exhausting. we take shortcuts and discard what we think is unnecessary, thats where bias comes in. but we need it ...lol

@caseygris No it's not! :)

KC,you should really forgive Russians for that weird stuff they 've created over years of Cold War confrontation,including different experiments over human thinking.
Love or hate it,YOU ARE part of Kotov''s "Think like a grandmaster" yourself,that's your style and way of thinking,the very style so many people are fond about,the one that has made you a reknowned chess entertainer, a pioneer in the filed of online chess promotion and analysis.

@gologram Thanks but i wasn;'t trying to be overly negative. The question about how we can improve tactics from the influence of computers is interesting to consider nowadays.
People tend to do things like puzzle training, but maybe there are also books emphasising forcing moves, etc, to try and get people to be better tactically. Also another Russian writer Soltis has mentioned various ways of analysing positions including the Kotov method.

Also of course given we can now dissect GM games and our own games with engines, shows us the vast amount of possibilities and resources which we seem to miss even in games we won. Computers have opened the possibilities of the game up more, and so interest in how we can see resources more is also increasing perhaps, and people seem to become more "dynamic" in their games overall.
