9 1/2 y.o.Kwame has been in good health since the last video. He's finished w/chemo, the last set of blood results were again all in the normal range. maintaining weight between 40-41kg. Just completed a course of Carthophen Injections to help offset any arthritis as he grows older; will be giving him 3 courses per year as maintenance. He was experiencing some soreness in the back legs after exercise, but that seems to have passed. I also notice that his balance and walking motion are both improved, he can walk up to 20 minutes at one time, but I still encourage him to take a break every 5-8 minutes.
Diet wise, he's now fallen in love with Apples and Bananas, and eats raw veges (carrot, pumpkin, brocolli, cauli etc.) out of my hand, which is amazing for a dog which never was interested in them before. Saniay has helped tremendously in this regard as she eats pretty much anything I give her.
Kwame is very happy, healthy and pain free, so I'm thrilled with the results of the surgery and treatments and looking forward to him growing old with me. Again, my sincere thanks to the wonderful owners of other Rottie TriPaws like Jade, Vader, Barney and Thor for sharing their experiences, it's been invaluable and appreciated.
