    thanx, pim

  • Excellent work. This wasn't just a straight "best light" transfer - what did you do? What did the colorist do? Thank you.

  • i changed contrast and used a vignette in fcp to make it look better.... thanx

  • Easy dude, love the work. I've always found when I letterbox my stuff it always chops abit off that i dont want to loose, do you have a technique of getting round this or is it just trial and error?

    cheers

    dan

  • yeah just think of it in while shooting.... and shift the shots you dont like afterwards

  • I have just shot a science fiction/war/horror

feature using a HVX-200 p2.Most of the story

    takes place at night.

We tried day for night, evening for night, and shot at night .The camera fails every time.

Digital is just shit no matter how you look at it . If I had the budget and the producers backing.I would of shot it on a Bolex Super 16.Then I'd know it would all turn out and look great .Stick with film my friend .You will never have to worry about lost data.Digital noise, contrasty images.

  • is it really 16mm or Super16? I mean did you add the letterbox-format during post production?

  • Enable iPad playback.

  • can you increase the resolution? its one of my favorite videos on youtube

  • I love this style of cinematography, where almost every frame could be a stand alone picture and it would make sense, and be beautiful.

  • I love your videos man.

  • my god! this is amazing! i love the grain of film

  • this is a truly great video. The whole feel of it is great.

  • Your work really inspires me, you've got me thinking of putting my fine art still photography to one side and buy my friends Arriflex.

  • its a shame people are leaving the idea of film behind, it is very beautiful and definitely one of the greatest ideas in history. how can filmmakers call themselves filmmakers when showing so little gratitude towards their ancestors?
