this episode probably has the most fire that you've seen from us. take a look as we discuss don imus, race, jessee jackson, al sharpton, brittney spears, and many manymore
Very controversial. I do think more research about HBCUs should have been made before the video. Anyone can attend HBCUs and actually, the majority are considered minoriities and receive the same treatment minorities do prodominently white universities.
thanks for the comment. it is true that anyone can attend an hbcu; i guess what is in question from my standpoint is the necessity for a continuance of what we as an hbcu.
True but HBCUs tend to have that nurturing support that some people need to be successful. If you look at Howard's business program, they are required to come to class in business attire, which is important because many people in our community are not told at home what to and not to do in the professional world.
im a professional in business and wear jeans and polos to work everyday and shorts in the summer. i see your point on that though - as far as nurturing, whats wrong with getting out there and getting baptized by fire as many of us did at u of d and other places and in business. i see the climate of big business and i see hardly anyone like me. they recently hired the 2nd black man at my organization. say i went to an hbcu and straight to my organization...i would be socially ill-prepared.
