I've always thought it was weird that Jr. won the Daytona 500 3 years after Sr. died.

@Poncho4NCVox It seems to work out that way for Jr. He also won the other Daytona cup race in July of 01, first time back there after sr passed away. his last win was at michigan in 08 on Fathers Day, he snapped a 76 race winless streak and dale sr won 76 cup races.

I just wish Dale Sr was alive to see it, would have definitely been the proudest moment of his life since it took him 20 years to win it.

Yes its weird that Dale JR won the 500 3 years after Dale Sr's passing and it was also 3 years after Dale Sr won the 500 that he was killed kind of ironic and strange
