Not a fair race as that Magnum is heavy and stock but still fun to watch. People always assume AMC lovers are Mopar lovers. Not true...

@welder541 the AMC V8's were all essentially the same engine block.....beautiful concept, eh? AMC had a dealer in Mesa Arizona that did something like that.....I believe they called it the Gremlin 401XR. They dropped a 401 in there, and Bang Zoom......by bye ANYBODY!

According to an article in one of my early 70's Hot Rod mags. This guy took a STOCK 401, noth'in special, installed it and went rac'in. He called it a 401X. This thing ran low 12's right out of the box with no special tuning. I"M IMPRESSED:):):):):):)
