This was an amazing experience for me. Ironman asked to interview me (along with a couple others) for this video after hearing about my story via Kona Inspired (featured throughout this video - interview @ min 8:50). I can't thank them enough. It's been a long hard journey since 2007 when I was nearly killed by a suburban on one of my training rides. I truly love this sport, it makes you feel ALIVE! If you have the slightest desire to race Ironman, do it! You won't regret it. :)

Congratulations! What feels like cross the finish line? My first IM will be on March 17th 2013 (Los Cabos, Baja California, Mexico). I cannot imagine how it would be. Last feb, I completed IM 70.3 Panama, I cried like a baby, no idea what is going to happen at Los Cabos...

You should do it! It was hot, and leg cramps really hindered my bike and run, but overcoming all the obstacles and unforeseen circumstances is the point. Running out that last mile, coming up through the finish-line chute was one of the most profound moments of my life.
