Among all the English words we heard in Vietnam, "moto-bike" was the most common. Everyone wants to give you a ride and will try to convince you that walking is not a good idea because us rich Americans can't afford to break a sweat over 1 kilometer. Hiring a "xe om" can be fun, but pricey (we were on a budget for this trip), so Steve and I rented our own from our hotel in Dalat and cruised around all day. This probably constituted some of the best times on the trip. Oh, and the reason why we we able to rent a motorbike without any license is that apparently anyone in Vietnam can hop on a motorbike if it's under 120 cc.
