The compact flip flop u can invert the input to mak eit react pretty much instant :D

hey mckrawll do you mind if i post a redstone thingy that i thought of that could be connected to a flip-flop? i don't know if it's made yet

@mcKrawll I'm pretty sure it depends on how decent the server is ie. how much ram it has and whether the memory allocation is fixed or dynamic, possibly what kind of server infrastructure is being used. The biggest issue with redstone on SMP is that it relies on a server side clock. I've been on servers where the piston t flip flop worked fine, but other servers where it didn't work at all, but those servers generally had a lot of issues with redstone.

I run a 1.7.3 SMP server and that design works fine for me. to get that one to work on the upward edge you just need to invert the input signal. I have several of those working on my server. So I can say with absolute certainty that 1.8 has nothing to do with whether or not that works.
If you invert the signal to the wire on top it will activate the flip-flop almost instantly.

That t flip flop design has always worked for me in SMP since at least 1.7. It would depend on server latency.

@salgurdar I'm seeing a lot of people have gotten this one to work but I never could before 1.8. both Minecraftaddict and Sirdava(aka Rolf-david) have videos out with them trying to get that to work in smp and not working.
