Greg and Chris fly the Bee and the Gulph on a windy Saturday on the Lake Michigan coast. Wind speed was 18-20 mph. Temperature was 32-34 degrees. Chris is the armless "Michelin Man" who lost his arms in a DS accident.(not true) We were standing in the windless "dead zone" about 15 feet behind the edge of the slope. As long as you can find a slope with a "dead spot," it makes winter flying in Wisconsin bearable.
