Blood Into Wine is being released on DVD and Blu Ray on September 7th. The filmmaking team behind prominent documentaries Moog, The Heart Is A Drum Machine, and the upcoming comedy feature Queens of Country showcase the birth of Arizona's Verde Valley wine industry via the story of pioneers Maynard James Keenan (owner of Caduceus Cellars, co-owner of Arizona Stronghold Vineyard and world renowned front man for Tool, Puscifer and A Perfect Circle) and Eric Glomski (owner of Page Springs Cellars and co-owner of Arizona Stronghold Vineyard).
Co-Directed by Christopher Pomerenke and Ryan Page, the film showcases not only the unusual and often metaphysical location that Keenan has described as "thick, dense, rich, complex, engaging and spiritual" but also the personalities behind this leap of faith, the aforementioned Keenan and Glomski.
The documentary was shot using multiple Red One cameras, allowing cinematographer Cary Truelick to capture the craggy landscape surrounding Keenans vineyards in stunning detail. Editor Robert Beadle skillfully worked with over 200 hours of footage to help craft the story of two pioneer winemakers in an unforgiving region. Blood Into Wine was Produced by Chris "Topper" McDaniel, Ryan Page, Jason Stall, and Christopher Pomerenke.
The DVD and Blu Ray features hours of Extra Features including Additional Scenes, Live Concert Footage, and comedy skits by Bob Odenkirk (Mr. Show) and Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim (Tim and Eric's Awesome Show Great Job!).

its weird to think of tool with a following that emulates them like people do with the celebrities in People magazine. it kind of ruins it a little bit for me. but i guess wine is just ruined grapes now isnt it?
