I am also thai but what i see make me sad. If u just take half of the hive would be ok but u take all. The People of Southeast asia are so stupid and dont know how to apreciate the nature.
In some parts of the world, they do take honey/wax/brood in this way. All of it is used.
I am guessing that this may have been apis mellifera dorsata which migrates across asia and suspends single combs from a cliff face or tree (usually a lot higher than this) .

Im not shure but in some counterys they eaven eat the comb and the larva , so nothing goes to waste.
The bee ar still alive and can build a new hive , no winters there.

I clearly believe this to be apis dorsata aka the Giant honey bee.
