iQuit let's playing (also a rant about it)

To be honest, I'm kind of tired of my Adkit2 channel. People demand things because they expect things. I keep getting judged by what I do like I'm some public figure then being told to just have fun and do it as a hobby. I get random trolls non stop which I know I should ignore but I just hate stupid people so much that I can't help but to own them back. I made a random Minecraft tutorial video, all innocent like, and it gets 30 thumbs down for no reason. I mean what is even up with that?

I know I'm coming of as sounding whiny and emo, but trust me: I'm not whiny nor emo about this. I've been thinking about quitting for a while and this is actually a load off my back. I've uploaded a video a day for YEARS. For YOU guys. I hope my recent behavior and mood won't take that away from the enjoyment you've gotten from this channel. That was the core idea, to make people happy. Somewhere along the road I just got corrupted.

And if you find my other channel some day wondering what game it was and recognize my voice... just keep surfing.

Dear Linus,

I'm kinda mad at you right now, because you are judging the black sheep, but punishing the white sheep to. I find that very annoying and I really want to see your Let's Plays. If you judge me for doing nothing I hate you. So, I don't want to say what you need to do, but if you don't send me the link to your new channel, I'll unsubscribe. And if you are a jerk as I think you are right know, you wouldn't care.

It's pretty selfish of you to not only assume that everything I say and do is for you only and it's even more selfish of you to act like I'm not allowed to stop LPing because it will take "your" entertainment away.

You don't have to threaten me that you'll unsubscribe, I don't want ungrateful fans either way. People like you are the reason why I want to quit.

I don't like how you're making people you don't even know into the "bad guy" here. It feels like no matter what we do or say we're wrong. We want to see more of your stuff because we LIKE you. "You're a fanboy and I don't like you or want your input". We really like your stuff but we don't have time to watch absolutely everything you put out, and it's "Why am I not getting views?". You allow for a "very good reason" to do something and then you say there's absolutely no reason to do it.

On another note (sorry for the triple post, stupid char. limit), I WOULD in fact like to defend my recent choice to do a Skyrim LP, on the chance that you click on my channel and dismiss everything I say because I'm just one of those bad new Let's Players. My channel is pretty much what your new channel is meant to be - a channel where I do what I want to do. I wanted to chronicle my first time through the new game in my favorite series, and that's the extent. Not selling out, just havin fun.

Hey Adkit, it's been awhile since I watched LP's since I was busy with school for the past 2 years. I've just recently came back to the LP scene and it's really unfortunate that you're quitting LP but it's your decision, and I 100% back you up. Whatever makes you happy man, and I mean a video a day for more than 3 years is pretty crazy, I probably would've stopped in less than a year.

Man, not you too! It seems like all my favorite let's players on here are stepping down one by one. I mean, I know you guys aren't gonna' do let's play forever, but it's still sad. :( Anyway, do you mind giving me the new link? I still would love to watch whatever videos you put up, even if they're not let's plays. (This is kind of a late response,I know, but I've been off of youtube for quite a while.)

Ive recently stopped LPing newer games because I dont get views on them + its expensive. I am now LPing more classic games that arnt new release (like half life- one of my favorite series of all time) and geting way more views on those games. my point is that the new release = tons of views idea doesnt usually work unless your already a huge LPer. It also hugely depends on the quality of your content rather than what game it is. Play the games that you love and the views will follow

@Adkit2 Why not head for the middle ground, and still make LP's but at your own pace and your own choice of games. because I loved your channel when you were happy making them anyways :( Not when you were pushed to do some game you just feel not in the mood to do. because without your happy Lp mood. It just doesnt feel right. but quitting it cold turkey is just a bit cold. Please continue Lp's, but you don't have to force yourself :)
