  • I hope this is the beginning of the end of conservative whining.

  • another right wing nut. would rather have us all poor and sick than to give something to the Democrats. He obviously cares more about insurace company profits than the American people. Can the Ariz residents just get rid of him?

  • What kind of an idiot would vote for a bill they couldn't read first?

  • Republicans: So against reforming health care and reigning in the abusive health insurance industry, they don't even want to talk about it.

Which is screwy in a way since for the last 4 months they won't shut up about it, and for the previous 8 years they did nothing about it.

I think Kyle's been reading a poll of insurance executives, most americans want reform in EVERY POLL EVER RUN.

  • No, it's not. It is precise.

This is a 47 second clip that demonatrates the speaker's opinion that the passage of the healthcare bill will be a bad thing, and is unwanted.

    Stop doing your cliched spin.

  • The title is very misleading.

  • @PersonalJesus348

Well actually, it's shaping up to be rather similar to the way the Switzerland healthcare system works.

    Have you ever researched that?

  • Yeah I get it... but its not a step in the right direction. Its just side stepping and more money for the insurance companies.

Democrats are not getting it done. I don't know what the fuck the Republicans are doing.

    Time for a new team.

  • @PersonalJesus348

But incidentally, here's how it works.

Yes there's a mandate on the consumer.

But there's also a mandate on the insurance providers.

You can't outlaw pre-existing condition exclusions without having an insurance mandate because otherwise people will just wait until they get sick to buy insurance

To use your car insurance example, it'd be like forcing the insurance companies to take on someone who's gotten into 5 car accidents, and charge them no more than any normal customer

  • that's just jargon. I pay taxes. It goes into killing. I rather it go into saving.

    Single Payer. Fuck this bill!

  • @PersonalJesus348

Well, if you truly can't afford it, chances are you'd have access to subsidies to make it very affordable, or even free.

And if that's not the case, there is a third option.

You can instead opt to pay a penalty, which is not allowed to be more than %2.5 of your income.

So frankly, arguing for true financial hardship is bullshit.

  • "Not own a me? "

Haha. Maybe you have to sell yourself to slavery just so you wont have to pay that health insurance. :)
