Products don't usually say "Made in the USA", they actually say "Made in USA"! The latter is what Obama likely meant to say, but perhaps added the 'the' without really thinking.

Let's be honest here people - we all make slip ups. The difference between us and a President is that we're not giving huge speeches every day.

And yes, Bush's slip ups were probably singled out more because it fit into the popular perception of him being a bit 'dumb'. I doubt he really slipped up much more than Obama
