  • @elizaping After I re-read your comment, you're right. I'm glad you understand bi-bi education.

  • @Salticid68

I think we are saying the same thing. Note where I said "ASL is better..."

We use ASL with our deaf son.

  • @Jasmine030404 That's myth. Deaf children don't understand SEE. Would hearing children understand French in English grammar, syntax, etc? SEE isn't a language. ASL is art and very beautiful. If you want Deaf children learning English, then teach them in ASL. That way, they'll understand. Researchers have proven that, why change that?

  • @elizaping What is wrong with ASL? We don't need SEE. Yes, I'm also glad this program got some good PR. It's rare. Bi-bi education or bilingualism help Deaf children learning English better and faster. Not just English, but any other courses. It also helps with their esteems, mental and emotion health and makes hearing teachers looking better in their eyes. Just respect their culture and language.

  • I'm glad this program got some good PR. ASL is better for kids who are young. SEE becomes useful to a small extent when the children start to read. But by that time most hearing children would be using spoken language anyway.

I do wish these cute programs would make sure to use correct signs. They appeared to be signing "More play Game" instead of "More play together."

But great job giving the little ones access to early communication.

  • how come i did nt know about this cuz wow good for you your so much for the camera

  • I'm glad I found this. Now I can show my mother-in-law that signing to both of my children is fine. I sign to them so that they can understand my deaf sister. My youngest son is also partially deaf, and it's hard for us. Seeing more babies signing will give him more friends. I wish everyone signed with their children.

  • WOW! What a great concept!! Keep it up!

  • SEE isn't a language. ASL is a language. By the merits of knowing two language, ASL clearly outweighs SEE.

It isn't impossible to be bilingual, you know. Heck, in most European countries, it isn't uncommon for a person to be Trilingual.

  • thats my sister :)
