  • Im happy to know he is doing great now. I have the symptoms, i am getting the night study next month. `My dr says the oxygen in my blood goes down more then 5% in average 56 times per hour. That's why he recommended the test. Can't wait to have a full night sleep !!!!!

  • @Chrismusique1 Good luck to you! Sleep study is so worth-while! I wish you the best of luck with your CPAP therapy!

  • I am almost in tears and my heart is racing! my husband might have sleep apnea we just took him into the doctor today.

  • @ljewkes Thank you so much for watching -- and thanks for your comment. It's disturbing, isn't it? I know how hard it is to deal with this -- and I hope your husband has great success with his CPAP machine! It takes some getting used to, but it's so worthwhile!

  • Hello, I would like to ask if you consider tonsillectomy? my son now 11 yrs old had removal of his tonsils 2 yrs ago, because of his apnea he can't no longer breathe and he wakes up every 5 mins. and if this continues until he's an adult he will have heart ailments and other disorder related to his sleeping problem. Right now he's okay and no more gagging and waking up. Surgery helped him.

  • @jacquibuenaflor Thanks for your comment about tonsillectomy. We actually did look into this -- however, the bad news is that the older a person gets, the more complicated and serious a tonsillectomy becomes....causing severe risks for the person. Nick doesn't want to risk it -- and now that he has his CPAP machine, he's happy and doing well.

  • I was just diagnosed with this... it seems I "wake up" up to 50 times per hour and regularily stop breathing for periods up to 4 minutes. I didn't realise how scary it was until I watched this. It must terrify my wife.... thanks for posting. I get my CPAP in two days.

  • this isn't just snoring, it's obstructive sleep apnea, which makes it hard for people to exercise. many people with sleep apnea are not overweight. some people with sleep apnea don't snore.

  • @jacquibuenaflor

hello, how much did the surgery cost ?

  • Wow. That is some bad apnea. Holy cow.

  • tonsillectony would be most often for children, not adults... he in face has sleep apnea, just by looking at him and hearing him this is not a problem with his tonsils

  • @831truluv you should win a medal! I'm 30 years old female, and just had been diagnosed with sleep apnoea, my consultant took me straight for the CPAP treatment, and even me telling that i feel complicated to breath while i'm awake, he said that i seem to breath ok for him. I wish i could find the CAUSE of my OSA and go and treat it, instead of do the healing of the whole situation. I even asked about surgery and he said: No, majority people does surgery and it doesnt solve the problem. Grrrr
