  • well that will help a little to keep heat down but u r going to nee more as for i have 2 nd gen heat sinks and i have rrod but im putting water blocks on my 360 to help and fans

  • @hotbot1145 No thats all you need i have never had a Prob. With it since i done this mod.Maybe you didn't do the X-Clamp fix along with this mod.But this works great.Plus this mod is pretty much free and the water mod is around $100 buck you can go buy a used 360 for that.In my opinion its just not worth it.

yes i have done this mod and the x-clamp fix did not work for my 360 but im still working on trying to find a way to fix it... its all a part and im waiting on my new parts to come in so i can start testing it out.. o and the heat sink for the gpu is to small on the stock 360 but i see that this does take alot of heat out with out the top on.. this may work..

  • @Kennethstupi From 1983-Present / 2.50 g / 19 mm / 97.5% Zinc and 2.5% Copper (20% lighter) so there is still a little Cooper but it also presses down on the Hana Chip "Scalier"Chip and yes it gives it a re-flow but they make a kits for the Hana Chip i recommend doing a Fan mod over the GPU as well

  • @BloodThirstySavages1 i did the penny trick as well and have not had 3 rings yet but iv heard that the only thing it realy does is give it air space were the gap is because of the pennys. the thing about the penny trick is they stoped making pennys out of copper a long time ago so i dont realy know how it could draw the heat but you never know

  • @Kennethstupi I have never had a problem with that Chip so i would say no you would not have to do anything to it.The GPU and Hana Chip is the ones that usually give you the RROD some people do the Penny Fix for the Hana Chip but im not 100% sure that it will work the Cooper from the Penny is suppose to Draw out the Heat from the Hana Chip or Scalier chip whatever you want to call it i do the X-Clamp fix on both the CPU and GPU and did the Penny Trick for the Hana and have not had red ring

  • in the bottom right corner of this vid there is a chip that has a white circle that says xbox and i noticed that that chip can become very hot as well could there be any chance that is why my xbox has 3 rings? should i put thurmal putty on it or some sort of small heatsink please help thanks
