I had this engine in my lifeboat! Was built in 1964! Great engine, never let me down!

Lovely clatter to it! I hate modern Diesel engines, theyre too quiet! I like the old knocky ones.

Restoration is on way...
Full gasket kit in my hand.
Engine run in dirty place, all cylinder and head fin are full of huile, soot and dirty!!!
No air for cooling.
Very bad job to do, make my hand black for many week.
To see paint, i do 5 pass of oil eating product and high pressure water...
This is SR3 model, very similaire to ST3 but not same stroke.

You may find it easier to crank with the other hand and throw the decompressors with the other hand.

Decompresseor pin have originaly a plate to move all at same time, i remove for test and bleeding injector, this is my fist lister engine and i restore and clean them soon.
