Maya tends to be used more for animation and movies, Max for architecture and games - generally speaking...

I've used both programs so far, and I actually found Maya even harder then Max!

But I also found Maya to be a bit more suitable for animating (fast & easy acces to keyframes and IPO-curves).

Basically, if you're a good animator you can do well in any program. Poly's are always poly's, IPO's are IPO's and keyframes are keyframes... regardles of what program you use.

Tyrannosaurus running? Lol I beliave in rex is scavenger theory... ANd BTW I am new modeler so is 3ds max (I know THIS is maya) good for me? Is it easy to animate or hard with 3Ds max??

Btw you can make animations but in 3-d in this program, right?! but it may need alot of work..

Actually 3ds Max is 'MUCH' eaiser than Maya, that is just a pain in the bacckside! Once you know how to use 3ds max it is so simple! so don't use maya if 3ds max is to hard for you.

iloved max..easy for modellin and animation..its animation tools not better than mayas but they also cool!!!! ;-)
