Recovery Formula is an important aspect of my fitness program. You have to recover to bring it the next day. Click here for full details on the sample program: http://bit.ly/dsWkN3

  • I wanted to start the power 90 first before jumping into p90x, I wanted to know is it necessary for me to drink a full serving for that particular program?? If not, will a half serving have the same effect as if I took a full serving? I figure since power 90 is not as intense as p90x and insanity, a full serving is too much.

  • @Craftprincess86 I usually recommend a half serving unless the exercise is very intense. I know when I started working out P90 was "very intense" for me. Now it isn't, but it's not about me. It's about you. You have to gauge whether you've earned the recovery formula. Contact me at infoATthefitclubnetworkDOTcom if you are interested in free coaching.

  • hey dave i was wondering if it's okay to use the recovery formula during phase one? im a level 3 and im about to start my p90x journey. i want to get everything prepared and organized before i get started. just wanted to know if i could stll incorperate this even with the low amount of carbs allowed.

  • @babyhands1491 Yes, but keep in mind that it is ONLY post-workout. Your body can process the sugars and store the glycogen in your muscles and liver pretty well at that time. So, yes.

  • What's up Dave? I'd love to try a sample. I have been thinking about something besides Gatorade to bring on my long runs. How do you think they compare? Thanks man.

  • @justinbinns Way better than Gatorade JB. No high fructose corn syrup and much more diverse set of ingredients. I'll message you.

  • @betonboxing Outstanding. Thanks. Your goal is probably actually not "weight" loss. It is probably fat loss. If your weight doesn't change, but your body fat percentage goes down, you'll be happy right? Big assumption there, but that's where most people are at. Creatine won't cause fat retention, just a little water. I wouldn't recommend this late at night. That's a lot of sugar before you sleep. Have a banana in a protein shake post-workout late at night.

  • @D3LTAONE Opinions vary on the necessity of cycling creatine. I don't do that, but know people that do. Same principles apply. Whey & Creatine won't replace Recovery Formula, unless you find a blend that is 4:1 (carbs:protein). It isn't a protein shake, it is a high-carb/low-protein blend. So, a different animal than a protein shake. You could try to make that with grape juice or something with lots of sugar to get there.

  • Dave, the recovery drink has 500mg of creatine correct? Does this require any cycling like regular creatine? Also what are your thoughts on using whey protein and creatine (with extra vitamin supplements of course) compared to the p90x recovery drink?
