If you've been wanting to add more safety and security to your home, installing an exterior motion-sensor security light can help do just that. There are many different types of exterior security lights so be sure to pick one that covers enough footage and is easy to install. For this project the tools required are: a outdoor security light, a screwdriver, drill with bits, circuit tester, tape and silicone caulk.

To begin, turn off the electricity to the existing outdoor light and remove that fixture. Generally exterior motion sensor lights are mounted on garage peaks or in backyards. Next install the motion sensor light by attaching it by its mounting strap, which will allow you to connect the wires before completely attaching the light. Match the wires and connect with electric tape and wire connectors. Using a screwdriver mount the light fixture to the mounting strip making sure all wires are inside. If the fixture is not weatherproof, be sure to caulk the wall plate with silicone. Finally turn the power back on and angle the lamps for the best coverage and adjust the timers.

Once installed, now you will have additional lighting to keep your home safe and secure. For additional projects on how to keep your home safe, visit https://www.Lowes.com/Videos.

Just get the Lowes or Home Depot guy to install that for you. It's easier and safer for you. Why work hard when you can relax in the comfort of your home?
