  • Branding the way their grandfathers did with a bar, you are right texaspuncher. However it takes four applications TOTAL....two for the T, and two for the X.

  • The brand is T X

  • WHY DO IT TO THE BABYS!!!!

  • So they won't get stolen.

  • Branding has been around for hundreds of years. If you don't know agriculture, don't give your opinion and make ignorant comments...branding just didn't evolve in this century. Get your facts straight.

  • This just seems pointlessly traumatic and cruel. Seriously, wait till their older and have been handled so you don't have to throw them on the ground, and try freeze branding. Hell of a lot less painful....

  • The point of branding cattle is so that the rancher doesn't have them stolen by some rustler who would most likely have them slaughtered inhumanly.

  • @anniedrifter What is the point of branding cattle? So people wont steal them? YOU stole them. They do not belong to you. They are living beings. That's like the Holocaust when they put the tattoos on people's arms. The Nazis did not own the Jews. And you do not own the cattle.

  • @SunnyHorsie there using a single bar iron to make it, they are making a T and then an X thats y

  • Maybe it is because I don't know much about branding but it seems like the branding iron was applied several times. What is the reason for that?
