In the UK Connex lost its South Central franchise in 2000 & the South Eastern franchise in 2003, after criticism of its management and performance.

Connex (or their other parent name Veola) give off quite a mechanized aura, meaning that they seem very corporate, with a sense of little care for the public alongside much care for their profits.
