Gay and lesbian Americans do not have full and equal rights primarily because of the religious beliefs that many of our elected officials misuse to deny gay and lesbian Americans their basic civil rights. If elected will you use your religious beliefs to deny me, a gay American, my equal rights.

  • I'm a Polytheist but I truely believe in my mind heart body and soul that we should put an ATHIEST as president. In that way, we know religion isn't fucking anyone over.

  • You are right, but I believe states should decide marriage for themselves. However, the American people aren't mature enough to accept that, and sadly, people are being hurt and discriminated because of that fact.

  • Mitchell Gold raises a question that matters to every American who believes, as did the framers of our Constitution, that the best way to preserve religious as well as personal freedom is to respect the separation of church and state. The freedom to marry belongs to all. Government should not tell any religions whom they must marry in their houses of worship, nor should any religion dictate who gets a legal marriage license from the government.

  • Well done Mitchell. And THANK YOU

  • This guy (Mitchell Gold) works non-stop to bring civil rights to every American, and he deserves our admiration. This nation is built on the U. S. Constitution...not the King James Bible. Hold your faith close to your heart, but never use it to hurt people or tamper with their civil rights. Thank you, Mr. Gold.

  • christians.

  • rawking question. Good reference to the wonderful history of discriminatory christianity.

  • Darn good question!

  • Excellent question..

  • As a mother with a beloved gay son .... I hope the candidates take this message to heart. It seems so simple to me .... we must start treating everyone as we ourselves want to be treated ... with equality.
