On Dec 13, 2000 I lost a man that was more of a father to me than my own dad. He was always there n the one to always bailed me out n sat me on the right track. He always had a spare couch for me to sleep on n his granddaughter quickly became like a little sister to me. She was ten years old when we lost him. She sung this song to him as he slipped away. But instead of saying 'daddy' she said 'papaw'. It breaks my heart every time i hear this song because i sung it at his funeral n i said daddy
