I rip Al Gore a new one...again

i usually just rip on al gore...but now id like to adress his new idea for helping the public understand global warming and preventing it.

I personally think its awesome that you're in college and don't worship Al Gore. Al Gore has arguably become a deity to a lot of youth. Personally, I think Al Gore is a fear monger. I think back to when I was a kid in second grade my Weekly Reader reminded me of all the things that could kill me and end the world. Global Warming was one of them.. way back in 1992! (I'm starting to feel older every day even though I'm just 25) We're bombarded with all this fear and its a bunch of BS.

I was in the minority back in the day when I was in college as well. Al Gore was just a failed presidential candidate back then though. College can be a little totalitarian though which is crazy because its supposed to be all about free thought and free inquiry. I'm sure you get all sorts of weird looks for daring to question Prince Albert if you do it publicly.

haha...in texas the last two years we've had the coolest years on record. also it needs to be known that the one single person who stands to profit the most on this "anti-global warming" dribble is of course none other than Al Gore. i mean does it surprise anyone to know that it's all some publicity stunt?

Man-Made Global Warming is the biggest Hoax of our lifetime. While many sincere and intelligent people have bought into it, I think Al Gore and company is more interested in limiting our freedoms in the name of crisis and having government mandate our lifestyles in the interest of wealth re-distribution than anything else. Our founding fathers believed that the only enemy that could bring the US to ruin was an enemy from within. I think Karl Marx would be very proud of "Brother Al".

Sounds like you have the same basic beliefs as Al Gore. This is a global issue, not an American one. And seens as you Americans cause more pollution than any other country in the world shouldn't you be supporting ANYONE'S endevour to try solve the problem! It's not like we can rely on George Bush to do anything, How much do you think he has profited from being president, and his father. For once someone is standing up, and for you to be bagging him smells a bit of your own arrogance.

300 million is not at all too large an investment for this. Al Gore has been buying up very cheap carbon credits and not reselling any.

If Big Al can pull this off and get a law passed that companies have to buy those credits to offset their carbon footprint, the value of those credits will jump a hundredfold - he'll be a multi-Billionare almost overnight.

Furthermore, people talk about terrorism being a manufactured fear for political purposes. I think thats true of global warming as well.
