* Please read. I like the Airfield equipment and planes, but in this case, the Transmitter on/off switch got me. I knew this switch moved very easily along with the throttle stick, but in the wind today and while trying to trim my F-15 by "Braille", it got the best of me. See what happened, and remember, if it can happen, it will. For me, is too difficult to look down at the TX when flying in extreme winds, etc., so standard transmitter ergonomics should be considered. Otherwise, you may wind up like I did today. I can't even imagine looking down trying to see RPM and battery info, and process it, when it is hard enough just to find the trim switches and keep track of flying a very fast plane. I think the ON/OFF switches should have switch guards on them like our old Kraft Transmitters had back in the day. But what did we know then? Transmitter manufacturers should take a look at the past, so we don't have to live with their re-inventions. You'd think by now they would have some standard configurations.
I produced this video for you folks to learn from, so pay attention so you hopefully won't do the same thing. It makes for happier flying.

Best regards.

  • This is a great plane. Got one for my 17th birthday and it fly's great. The on/off switch doesnt pose a problem as long as you pay attention.

  • NightFlyyer your a mad dog...always great videos

  • I like your videos, but why are you using that cheap RTF radio junk? Check out the Spektrum DX8 radio and OrangeRX receivers for park flyers.

  • fucking AA :)

  • Well, one thing I don't understand is why a professional pilot like yourself would get an RTF plane when you probably have your own equipment which are 10 times better..

  • OH BOO HOO WITTUL KIDDY ALL UPSET CUZ HE BROKE HIS WITTUL TOY?

  • However I do like your saying at the end, but by now you should have every lesson in flying memorized ten fold, keep them coming cant wait to see the next excuse and crash. OH there is one tip I havent seen in a crash yet, if your trans batteries are low dont change them in flight....I know I know poor design to have the batteries in the back of the radio but we'll just have to accept it. lol

  • I do love your videos, not for the reasons your fluak of sheep do but because of ALL your crashes for a man that boost his ego so much on his page. If ya havent checked lately 99% of trans are set up this way, but yet again another excuse for the crash, poor design we know not you. And who pulls their throttle hand to trim there right stick? throttle up, nose up, trim with right hand untill apex then return to stick. The old Kraft radio you show isnt todays design for a reason, it sucks.

  • i had almost the same prblem....... makes me feel a bit better that someone else has made the same mistake

  • the EXACT same thing happened to me!!!!! airfeild transmitter right?
