that some things were not done ethically; firstly because deception was so obviously used. Secondly, because the experimenter did not allow the participant to feel comfortable in the situation. The man clearly felt uncomfortable in what he was doing. However, there is no need to try to imply the punisher didn't have a choice or free will in the situation. He most certainly did.

I can't figure out exactly what point you're trying to make. It's a moot point anyways. This experiment caused nobody any harm, except the psychological harm they technically put upon themselves. The participant-punisher was not being forced to continue "administering electric shock." Milgram simply asked the man to continue, and the man did. This man could have easily got up and walked away. He was not restrained. But he kept talking Milgram's word for it, and kept going.. I do not disagree

what?. I never said the women in the simulated rape prank would be threatened, they may perceive a threat just like the milgram teachers felt the threat of authority, even if it was just implied or inferred,,, an analogy does not have to be equal, but I do believe any person that performs waterboarding should be waterboarded just for fun once

And you asked if I 'd let my children do it, that doesn't mean that they'd have to be minors. There's a great difference between the two. My children will be responsible for their own decisions when they're smart enough to make them. If this means that they have to realize that they're capable of horrible acts in the right situation, then so be it. We all are.

There's no similarity between the two. At no point were the teachers in this experiment threatened. They were told there would be no consequence for quitting the experiment. They made the decision to go on and shock the learner when told to- acting as the Nazi soldiers did. And they would have had no reason for lying if they were asked if they were effected by this. There'd be no punishment for telling the truth.

milgrams prank/experiment was ,,punish the Learner by following authority or the Learner can in effect help their fellow humans and run away from authority,,, kinda like the simulated rape test, but the notion of a relative thinking they will be raped is supposed to be Like something king solomon would think of,,, like cutting up a kid in two, some people do not agree with that either

yes. interviews do not work, that is why milgrams teachers lied and said they were not really effected by this,,, and of course you are lying, no good parent would let their minor children be a milgram teacher, and for a phd candidate you are supposed to be smart enough to know that the simulated rape experiment is a great human behavior test to see if women will help their fellow humans or be afraid and run away, just like milgrams test, will they punish the learner or follow the authority

No, but I plan on getting a PhD in psychology so it's hard not to appreciate Milgram. Interviews don't work: people don't want to be judged so they lie, and sometimes they outright don't know the correct answer. If you asked any of those participants "would you give someone a fatal shock if you were told to", do you think any would have said yes? I would have no problem if you put my children through this test. I don't understand why you're so adamant about bringing up raping my relatives.
