  • Nice dead stick, in a sticky situation. And I LOVE that "I can't believe we're ALIVE" laughing at the end!

  • @microdon2 Hello, thank you for your email, I have since past my Private Pilots Licence both in Flexed wing and fixed wing and have over 100 hours flying time.

I I was a passenger at that time and did not know antything about flying, I still laugh at the video now, the main thing, we both walked away to tell the tale. Go steady, Steve.

  • Aren't you trained if you get an engine failure after take off not to turn back as the steep turn could stall the a/c but to land in an adjacent field? Or is this just for group A a/c?

  • @TheMattyccc

Hi Mattyccc, yes you are correct with your comment.

When the Engine failed we were down wind in the circuit early and lower than normal, the field was not being used at the time.

If you look closely the there is a short piece of grass strip 90 deg to the main airfield which in hindsight this would of been the better option converting height into speed and flaring out. Since then I have got my Pilot license for Flex wing Microlight, go steady.

  • Perfect!!

  • @andyshangar

Cheers andyshanger, sorry for the delay in my reply, go steady.

  • @TheMattyccc He did a Question Mark Turn from 300', not an Impossible Turn I teach that maneuver on many planes, if you know it you can do it. If don't know crash in front. But many don't know or want to practice, then when have to do it make a mistake and crash. The maneuver is a life saver if you know it, but if you are a clod or coward, push nose over and crash in front even if there's a Turnback possible. After you crash and see you could have make this QMT you will feel foolish for not do.

  • What the fuck Man

  • well done ! kept your head !

  • dangerous

  • @flyman912 Well I guess in the end all that matters is you landed safely
