it wasnt really advertised as competion to the consoles out at the time i guess they just released it hoping something good would happen but nothing did

@coldfood10 It wasn't aimed at Gamers. It was aimed at people looking for a game system to keep their kids active. Healthy lifestyle things. It was all sports games, the controls were pretty good, but the graphics were 16-bit looking. You could have bought it at places like Big 5 and Frys Electronics. It was never meant to compete with Sony PS2 (which was out at this time) or the Xbox or the Game Cube. It was simply meant to be a niche market (kind of like those kiddy consoles at Walmart.

IIRC the XavixPort is pretty much an empty box, with every game cartridge bringing its own processors. In case of a 2D game, this is obviously only worth a couple of bucks - but yeah, it also means one could expect 3d games or cart-in-cart cames (one cart being processors, the other ROM) had it caught on.

I kept my eye on it, but it apparently was never released in Europe.

The XavixPort is actually a pretty sweet system, just wasn't promoted or advertised to much in the states. It was massive in China, even Jakie Chan promoted it! games like Boxing and the J-Matt were promoted by Jakie himself. The console came out in 2004, thats 3yrs before the Wii, and was the first to come up with motion capture gameplay! too bad it doesn't have many games for it, and there fairly hard to find.
