I'm working on the Scam School book, and wanted to do a segment on supercooling your beer so it would instantly freeze. I thought this shot was particularly nice.

Side notes: that sound you hear are guinea pigs drinking water across from the kitchen. Also: you should know I host a show called "Scam School".

  • i love the onions:))

  • Corona was voted the worst beer on earth

  • Wait - you could have done this with any cheap and disgusting beer - but you did this with an excellent bottle Corona Extra? My heart is broken.

  • @vorsuz Maybe it does freeze at a lower temperature but it has nothing to do with the flash freezing. Homogenous fluids cannot boil or freeze without the introduction of a nucleation site for the bubbles or ice crystals to begin to form off of. You can do the same with destilled water (since distilled has no imperfections), it is also a danger when microwaving coffee (it can occasionally flash boil / explode when you remove it disturb it).

  • @GrandHighGamer I don’t think it has anything to do with imperfections. Freezing point is not a function of temperature, but function of temperature and pressure.

IMHO, since beer is under larger pressure than atmospheric, it needs lower temperature to freeze. After you shake it, some of the light molecules fly away, also removing portion of kinetic energy from liquid. Then water molecules loose velocity enough to form hydrogen bonds.

  • Used to do this with Lemonade, very awesome

  • do u like your beer ? ..... then vote .... work hard and enjoy the good life .... bring back the middle class .... Ron Paul for President !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • did i say "cupercooled"?
