Credit must go to Delerium for the soundtrack - used without their permission. I made this using iMovie as part of a digital literacy program for teachers at the Foothill College Krauss Center for Innovation in Los Altos, CA. All the pictures I took on campus.

There will always be those students who only want to be taught. For those that actually do want to be educated, there needs to be an option for them. I'm working on a really exciting option here in Southern California.
Snoopy, It is hardly about "heart strings" and all the silly emotional baggage you are dragging around.
It IS about the very hard work that both the teacher and the student must do to get the student prepared for the very unemotional and uncaring world they are about to enter.
If you need "inspiration" to be a professional teacher, day in and out, then you need to find a different line of work, because on those days your not "inspired" you're hurting your students.
Are you a teacher? (And by this I don't mean to ask whether you are a "teacher or educator". I simply mean, is teaching your career? Is it what you do every day?)
Would you make this video in Spanish if I send you the translation? I really find it inspiring and would like to use it amongst my collegues and volunteers in Bolivia. Hope you do... Best regards
Unfortunately, I no longer have the original file, so I can't go in and edit the text. However, if you send me the translations I can add them as subtitles perhaps...?

Yes, I both teach AND educate, based on the needs of the student, needs that I establish and evaluate, judgements for which I'm held accountable.
My problem with your video and "progressive education" in general, is the mushy emotive sense of educational wonderfulness, happy and sweet
The great lie of progressive ED is that it can make learning effortless, a lie your video gives voice to
