@MacMorrighan - I've had amazing success with SJW growing almost like a weed by collecting the seed in the fall when it's fully mature and casting it out right when I find it... I don't dig it in, just throw them all over... It overwinters, hangs out in the spring, then starts going like crazy come mid-summer. I'd give that a shot and see what happens...
Thanks for this video. Nice and peaceful. One question, wouldn't it be easier to first strip the stems of all their leaves, flowers and buds and just cut them up and fill the jar with them and the oil ?.... ( and make something else of the stems.)
Thanks for the sweet video! Sadly, I took a SJW supplement during college (I had S.A.D.) and behaved like a raging you-know-what! I've since wondered if it was because it was a supplement?
Anyway, how early would one have to cast the seed outside, on the ground, before SJW would grow to fruition? I live in Iowa with a short growing season (we still have frost danger in May).
