While the original wave of figures gave us seven new figures, the second wave of Thundercats 4" figures unfortunately brings only four new figures to the table. The worst part? Only one of these figures is a 100% new mold. This wave includes Lion-O, Panthro, Claudus, and Mumm-Ra the Ever-Living. Lion-O features a new left arm that has a large, upgraded Claw Shield now acting as armor. Also included is an alternate normal hand, the Sword of Omens, and the sword in dagger mode. The figure also includes a new roaring face sculpt. Panthro has two new robotic arms, perhaps because of the events in the season finale. Also included is unpainted nunchaku to clip into the back, as well as painted splayed open nunchaku. Claudus, Lion-O & Tygra's father and King of Thundera, is the only new mold in this wave. He only comes with the Sword of Omens in sword mode. The sculpt itself is pretty nice, however the line in the face I mention in the video is really off-putting to me. Articulation is hindered by the armor, but given he's the king, this can be excused. Mumm-Ra the Ever-Living is a remolded version of the 4" Deluxe Wave 1 figure. Instead of the large wing gimmick, he has two small folded up wings plugged into his back, fully removable. He comes with a Sword of Plun-darr in sword mode. All of these figures also have more of a matte finish compared to the glossy finish of the previous releases. While the molds are still really nice, only having one 100% new figure is a bummer. I'll feel better about the purchase if "Robo-Arm Panthro" and "Supah Claw Shield Lion-O" end up being in the show, but for now, I can really only recommend Claudus. I also recommend Mumm-Ra to those who haven't picked up the 4" Deluxe Wave 1 release.

I like the Claudus, but will hold off on the others. I really hope they release a full armor Lion-O at this scale at some point. I like the look of the armor on the show, but that figure that was jsut released seems kinda lame to me.
