Maybe this will get taken down, but I hope not because this is a brilliant return from one of the best songwriters around and obviously I don't claim any sort of ownership of this song. Buy the album and support Emmy!

Well, she's expanding beyond her anti-folk roots. And although I do love this song, Secret Circus, after 5 years is still my favorite song and in my opinion her lyrical best.

I saw her last month in HK opening for Elbow (an indie rock band), but unfortunately she was the last opening act and the audience became extremely inpatient so she got booed.

@DiabolicHeart She opened for Elbow? That's pretty impressive, even if it didn't go down well (clearly they have awful taste out in Hong Kong, if she got booed)

@domtoug I don't think they knew her (neither did I), but the main problem was how the opening acts were way too long, she was better than those before her, just unlucky to be placed at the end of the line. Additionally, she also played a song in Cantonese.

@DiabolicHeart Oh right, well bad luck I guess. She quite often does some Cantonese, I think one of her parents was from HK. To be honest I think the first album was better anyway, and she probably played newer stuff, right?
