"Djupa andetag" Photo Session

A lighthearted look at Frida during the photo shoot for her 1996 "Djupa andetag" album. Many of the photos were taken at her home in Mallorca, which she eventually sold upon the death of her husband in 1999. During her ownership, all the rooms in the home were decorated in the colors of the Swedish national flag, blue and yellow.

The recording sessions for "Djupa andetag" began in March 18, 1996 and were completed on August 9 of that year. The album was recorded at Polar Music Studios, produced by Anders Glenmark and engineered by Lennart Öslund. "Djupa andetag" was released on September 20, 1996. The album reached Number One on the Swedish charts. The singles from the album were "Även en blomma," "Ögonen," and "Alla mina bästa år," a duet with Marie Fredriksson. Additional credits to Carl Bengtsson for album sleeve photography and Kent Nyberg for album design, both of whom appear on this clip. English subcaptions were also added to the clip.

The album is so good. Shame she did not record AVEN EN BLOMMA in English - surely it would have been a smash hit? I don't mean among the Britney crowd - I mean with discerning people who can understand a true artist when they hear one.

Loved your comment! I wholeheartedly agree. I just pulled this CD back out yesterday on my travels. One of the finest albums of 1996. So what if it is 100% in Swedish, the music spoke to me, and then there's THE VOICE... I don't feel the need to explain it, I think you know what I'm talking about.
