  • cool but how do you know what angle the camera is in or what you are looking at from the ground?

  • A video transmitter can be plugged into the camera so you can see exactly what the camera is doing from a monitor on the ground.

  • hello... what i need to do to trasnform my standard futaba servo in a 360º rotation servo?

    Thnaks

  • Search the internet for "continuous servo" and you'll find some how-to's out there.

  • How do you know what your looking at?

  • Many people use a seperate tiny downlink wireless camera mounted on the other camera so they can see real-time what the are taking picture or video of. Although I use this set up all the time without a downlink and the videos come out great. Pictures too.

  • @ramovan

How do you "push" the camera button?

  • @horizonflyer9 one could use this with an arduino and have a digital read every x interval and assign values equal to degrees/radians or w.e and you could see the angle on the interface while hooked up.

i may just do this for the fun of it.

  • Looks great!

  • i presume you will need 8 channels for a helicopter

  • AWESOME! I wish I could make one of these but I have no idea where to start since I have no experience with RC building! Is there a way to control the motor ( or possibly joystick) sensitivity so that is has a slow start to the motion rather than jerky. It would be perfect for video rigs if it could ease in and out of its motion very smoothly. I just bought a few DIY RC car kits in the hopes to make something similar! :)

  • very clever

  • ok, but wheres the camera buttons interface? how to start or stop shooting while camera is flying? what about video-out to preview?

  • nope thats the kind of system i use on my rc helicopters mate btw as long as the camera has a video out (not in) you can link it to the wireless systems that are onthe market now ;)

  • it is a motor servo

  • a camera is easily shakey shakey while stop move it
