  • Thank you all for the comments to this video. This is why i put this up because i could not find any help. Looks like from everyone else, you can get to the heating element easier from the front panel. My video shows how to do this from the back panel, which still works with alittle more effort.

  • Slilverpup78 good job..Do you know the model number for the coil par? We have a samsung dryer model DV209AEW/XAA But it looks just the same on the inside. We are having the same problem no heat.thanks for this video it really help us to see how to get to the coil. never buy another samsung again. We had replaced the thermostat and the thermistor and we still have no heat so we will try the coil. Thanks so much for this video. :)

  • @DarleneBarbuto sorry for the delay, do you still need the model number for the coil? I used searsdirectparts online to determine what number i needed. Good luck and again i am glad to have posted this. I like samsung tv's but the new style dryers are really cheaply made!!

  • YES! I have the same dryer and the same problem. THANK YOU!!! I thought for sure there was an easier way to get at the heating element in this Samsung, but now I know there's not. What a poor design as far as maintenance. But thanks for going to the effort to shoot, edit and post this, it'll be a huge timesaver for me.

  • @cpallos Thank you for your comment. This is why i did this video because i could not find anywhere on the net to fix this samsung dryer. The local repair shops in town said they could not get parts, i just ordered online and put the part in. Best of luck and I am sure you have a broken coil in yours too

  • not bad for a hillbilly and a computer geek

  • @smeier12 Thanks for the headup that Electrolux part #5300622032 works to fix Samsung DC47-00019A for my DV203 dryer. The best way to get that back screw on is to take the front door off.

  • I noticed in the video you were wearing electrician gloves. Are those needed even though the dryer is unplugged?

  • Thanks. This saved me big. And thanks for the comments from people about removing the top and front panel to get that pesky screw. Ordered the repl part from amazon $35 plus i paid $12 for expedited shipping.

  • Awesome guys! Love your Pug we have six of them! LOL

  • I have a DV448AEW/XAA, and had the same problem. With your help, I was able to disassemble and test, replace the part (the element), and get my dryer back up and running. THANKS!

  • Also, I got my replacement part from samsungparts (lots of bad reviews if you google, but I had no problems).

  • Thanks for the video, what an easy job! As another poster commented, you can take the front off very easily (about 12-14 screws) to get the top & front panels off (takes an extra 5 mins), then you can easily unscrew the front of the heater assembly. Also, I jiggled the wire connectors and they came off the thermostats.

  • Thx guys! Same problem with mine! your video saved me time and money. Thx again!

  • The question I now have is do I replace a $110 board without assurances that this is even the problem or just go but an inexpensive dryer that works! Ugh.

Currently I think I've given enough blood on the sheet metal to this unit.
