it just goes to show that it's not all about physical strength to have a powerful tight drummer. castillo can't even replicate what dave did on songs for the deaf. sorry but it's true

im not saying youre bashing castillo, but it seems like almost everyone bashes castillo and misses dave. IMO he's great. He was good in danzig and is amazing in qotsa. He just has his own style of playing drums. There must be a pretty damned good reason why he's still in qotsa. and dont get me wrong, dave is one of my fav drummers.

@dabam Castillo has parts on Era Vulgaris that were and are unconventional and definable. Dave's presence was only temporary however, I do think Joey plays Song for the Dead a bit fast live. The tempo it was recorded captures the bobbing energy just fine.
