live video movement tracking via the web? hahaha thats crazy, I'm not sure where the applications lie in this but certainly an indicator of the usefulness of threads in the web environment.

Well, I am fairly certain this very site would like to support such features... "find more videos with similar movements", and so on.

For webmasters of video sites it would probably also be very interesting to see when people get tired of watching a clip and move on to another.. If there are amounts of motion or special movements in the frames right before the user discards the clip, that would make good pointers on what type of clips to select for "promoted videos" etc.
