  • 上手すぎる!

  • The one thing I don't like about Philips' playing is the tone of his drums - that clear plastic drumhead material on the toms doesn't sound good - sounds like the go-go drummers sitting on DC corners playing empty inverted 5-gallon plastic buckets (who are good but it sounds like plastic buckets being whacked) - interesting, I never noticed much before

  • when Simon gets into his playing he smiles, he's diggin' it -- nice to see in a musician: joy

  • @TadRapidly Absolutely.

  • @76alembic We are not our bodies. And thank God for that. ;-)

  • @TadRapidly Cool. Even through for a while ,he was very thin and looked ,well a bit like ,well,

Gary Coleman,LOL..I think he had a medical issue at that time, and guess what ,thin or stout he played the same , incredibly!.

  • @76alembic I know. I just like that joke. ;-) I was listening to AJ back in '79. My intro to him was with Al DiMeola. The guy is a monster!

  • @TadRapidly He has been like that for yrs. Sure doesn't affect what he does on that contra bass Guitar ,now does it !. he is a master, a bass monster!,an original how many can say that?.

  • @gady100 he's not left handed... he's actually right handed but he needed space for his toms and his hihat stand was in the way so he chopped off the top of it and then he noticed that his hihat was so low that he couldn't play it with his right anymore(if he as playing the snare a the same time) so he started playing open handed.. that's why he can switch back and forth between playing right and left handed(watch some of his other videos and you'll see)

  • Damn it!! I just love that progression line that Anthony plays from 2:51 to 2:54. Only he could have come up with that one.
